There are varying degrees of what I would consider to be flirting.

Having been a very shy, mostly introverted person when I was much younger, I worked very hard to overcome my shyness.
In the process, I also becoming an ambivert, engaging with people or not as I choose.

I'm now an old married guy and I do enjoy brightening the day of others as well as myself with innocent flirting, whether my wife is present or not.
She knows that I'm merely being sociable.

Flirting with intent to go further while one is in a relationship, though, is not cool.

Yeah, but tons of people do anyways. That's probably part of the reason they fail their relationships. A lack of emotional maturity.

It's definitely wrong to let someone believe that you are interested in a relationship with them. If you are, then it's wrong because you are deceiving your current partner.
