I don’t usually choose it, but asking for a day off is a little hard especially since I have to think of rent and other bills. I don’t think we live in a society where we can have the luxury to not work or have goals. Women and men alike need to make enough money to bring home and build a future for their family. Realistically it’s kind of impossible to not work and it’s very hard for only one person to provide too. It’s also about nonconformity, choosing to work for the life you want instead of settling for what you have.

Don't you mean 'some women' not all do.
The most straightforward answer for many is because they choose to.
It's also increasingly rare that jobs pay enough for single income households (here in the uk at least) so necessity is a big factor.
A desire for independence and to be self sufficient215 Reply- 10 mo
Why do women desire to be independent and self sufficient
- 10 mo
Also the jobs not paying enough factor may be true in the UK but here in the USA it's not. Many people are lazy and make excuses to only work 40 hours or less working fast food and claim they should be able to raise a family on that which is not true. To raise a family you have to have ambition and you need to be willing to work over 50 hours a week to keep your family happy and comfortable. I hate it when younger guys and girls whine about how everything is so expensive and that they aren't paid enough. Get a difficult job that pays better and man up and work long hours like our ancestors did.
- 10 mo
Why wouldn't they, many women have been trapped in abusive relationships in the past due to having no agency of their own.
'Like our ancestors did' the vast majority of people's ancestors lived in poverty for the last few centuries.
You need to have ambition and be willing to work 50+ hours to have a high paying career you mean, absent parents don't raise a family. Why can't each parent be working 25 hours and actually do the family raising as well? - 10 mo
You are right absent parents don't raise a family. That's why the woman stays home
- 10 mo
A child can be properly raised with only one parent in the home for the majority of the time, this has been proven for many generations
- 10 mo
Definitely
- 10 mo
Because it's not biologically effective to arrange things that way
- 10 mo
Men aren't mentally built to only get 5 hours of sleep a month in the first year of the child's life just like women aren't physically built to to extreme physical labor. I don't say its impossible to do it the way you would want to but I will say its less biologically efficient and pointless
- 10 mo
Well if you want to go down that route then men are more biologically adapted to manual jobs (labour, construction, farming, maintenance) and women should be doing jobs they are better adapted to (healthcare, administration, legal, research, pharmaceuticals, education) given they statistically outperform men in those fields.

I agree

I think women shouldn't prioritize their career over their children
Anonymous(45 Plus)10 moSame reason guys choose career over settling down. Life is short. But to a young person it always seems like there will be time for that later after you've made your mark on the world. It's not till later a lot of times for MEN AND WOMEN. That they realize that there are only so many relationship worthy people out there. And when they're gone, they're gone.

10 moSame reasons men choose career over family. Why is this a mystery to you?

Because what you just said is not true
- 10 mo
So explain your version of the truth. And if you know the answer, why are you asking the question? Please share your infinite knowledge with we mortals.
- 10 mo
Men work to take care of the family, women work to make other women happy
- 10 mo
Wow that insight is on par with a broken X-ray machine.
So you’re working with red pill cult beliefs you picked up on the internet, not facts. As I thought.
But thanks for putting your ideology out there and self identifying. - 10 mo
I'm sorry if I recited history and science and it hurt your feelings.
- 10 mo
I’m sorry your mom dropped you on your head repeatedly as a child.
- 10 mo
Well let’s see the peer reviewed science then. And I don’t one red pill video cheering on another red pill nutcase.
- 9 mo
You might be a little indoctrinated 😂
- 9 mo
I'm still waiting for the peer reviewed science. All you have produced is beliefs you are trying to sell as facts.
- 9 mo
That's the problem, it's peer reviewed not based on historical fact
- 9 mo
Just because the majority opinion agrees on something doesn't make it true
- 9 mo
And who's writing the history? You? The people who are selling a revisionist of Confederate "Lost Cause" traitors as heroes?
- 9 mo
Nope just plain old history written by regular people over the past 100 years. This new mentality you are trying to enforce is only about 30 years old
- 9 mo
So science is invalid and your version of history is the real version. You do know you're in a cult, right?
- 9 mo
I'm not the one trying to enforce a modern majority opinion, who is really in the cult here
- 9 mo
Oh that's definitely you cult boy.
- 9 mo
Everyone is in a cult of their own mentality 😂
- 9 mo
I guess the world looks like that when you're in a cult.
- 9 mo
I guess that's what happens when you accuse everyone who disagrees with you of being in a cult 😁

Well your background information fits the profile. Engineer. Custodial engineering I assume. For some reason you people seem to gravitate to jobs that involve simple black and white answers. Hmmm. And you're from Tennessee. A MAGA paradise of low education, low IQ, religious dogma, racism, obesity, crystal meth, poverty, White welfare, and economic stagnation. That's where cults are born.

Ah you are a boomer who trusts the government and supports laws taking away the freedom of the people, that explains a lot
