Have any of you given up on dating?

I can’t get dates and I can’t get matches. I tried a new dating site and to my horror. Nil matches and activity. I went my whole life without a girlfriend
The older I become the more it seems less likely to happen. I work so hard that after work I feel exhausted and there’s no where to meet girls. I’ve given up alcohol too so that takes away a lot of socialising. Girls don’t even show any interest in me anyway. I feel like I would get more success if I were a gay man and not straight 🤦
Even if I were to meet a girl I don’t know how to date and move things forward. I question if dating has always been this impossible or if it is to do with modern abundance and quest for perfection, social media’s standards of a ripped body. Who knows…. but it seems way harder than getting my degree.

Never give up meeting a girl of your dreams.

A problem I have is I tell people the way it is, which is brilliant really, but against other guys exaggerating the truth it might seem less appealing. Females expect this exaggeration, and I suspect you are doing the same as me on the dating Apps.

I've never used a dating App, but perhaps make your situation a little bit more rosier without telling lies.

My lifestyle and job is tiring for me too, so the way you meet someone will need to be either a hobby involving females, or somewhere you go regularly like shopping, or going for a drink.

Obviously if there's females at work this is Number One choice, but in my line of work this is not possible.

Yes but I feel that is expected at my age. Of course in theory I could still be sexually active. Theory and practice are the same in theory, but not in practice.

Before I met my husband, I dated almost non-stop for almost 10 years and loved every second of it. Quitting is for the weak.
