How to tackle loneliness when living alone?

I have always lived in a hostel but now as college comes to an end I have to prepare for the next competitive exam along with work while living alone. How to deal with the loneliness

Firstly I think it is different for a girl than a guy because social networks were evolutionary more critical for female survival. Certainly women in remote farming areas seem to have more issues than men do.

I've mentioned a few times that I have cut out a lot of socialization with both men and women because I realized it was more negative than positive. Having to handle accommodate this person doesn't like that person just pisses me off. Or this person always has to be right. Or this person wants to promote liberal values.

I was better off without the crap socializing entails. You might find the same. You might find it good to just suit yourself with music and movies. In the worst case TV you are not watching provides back ground voices.

I think you should not think of yourself as lonely. Socializing is a little like a drug cause you get dopamine hits but it is not a need/necessity. Loneliness is more of a perception problem than anything.

In the very worst case there is the phone but don't overload any single person. This is a good time of year to ring old acquaintances to wish them happy festivities and some of them might turn out to be good chat buddies.

Spending time online on social media, getting out and doing the things that you love, going to the gym or having a friend over to your place or vice versa...

I think going outside for walks helps a lot. It helps you feel less lonely. I’d also say read books, but that might be overwhelming while studying, so maybe watch series.

You need to learn how to actively enjoy your own company, or don't be alone. Go out and meet people.

There isn't really a way to replace the human connection. Best bet is to join a social group or sports team. What helps me is to keep busy. I have many fish as pets. Don't go to bed when you not tired. It will just allow your mind to wonder.

When i fully figure that out myself I'll let you know. I would just say embrace it. Make your peace with this is the reality of life and ot isn't changing.
