Can most guys bridal/princess carry a woman effortlessly? And if so, what’s the max weight they could handle?

So I was chatting with my friend and she told me that her boyfriend couldn't bridle carry her without struggling - which made me wonder if I’m being delulu thinking any average guy could easily bridal carry a girl effortlessly and gracefully like they do in romance movies?

God... PRESUMING there are enough guys the woman also has to be rather slender.

Though if you wanna laugh, once two EMT guys put me on a gurney and were about to pick me up and I yelled "Wait! Watch your backs, I'm heavier than I look." They laughed and lifted me like I was a bag of chips. My goodness.

Real life is not a romance movie. When I was young I was really strong, I could have probably carried a 200 lb woman no problem. Now my body is pretty messed up but I can still probably carry a 100 lb woman around easily, but I also weigh 240 lb. A small or skinny guy who weighs 150 lb or less would probably not be able to carry around a 100 lb woman easily unless he was active and in good physical shape.

It depends on the man's fitness level, and how much the woman weighs.

The average, lazy guy probably couldn't carry the average, lazy woman. They would both need to be in at least some form of shape. I would say the majority of men wouldn't be able to do it effortlessly, though.

I was able to bridal carry my ex, but she only weighed about 110 lbs.

I've got a bad back but I have no problem bridal carrying my 95lb wife and I could also do it last year when she weighed 110lbs.

Absolutely not. Most people are too weak and untrained to lift weight like that for too long. I go to the gym 5-6 days a week, and I'm not sure I could do 200lb for a sustained period.

Don't know about that but i remember reading studies of untrained men being able to bench press about 60kg. That should mean untrained men can probably carry that for a couple minutes as well.

The average man maxes out at a 100lbs princess carry. However, if it is a fireman carry that is more like 200lbs. Be safe, use the fireman carry.
