What do men nowadays expect from their female partner?

We all agree that people have different standards and criteria on who to date and such but the recent media i’ve been seeing is of women specifically either posting about their expectations for a male partner in a relationship or on forums where they discuss it.

I was just curious to look on the men’s side of things (since some are a bit conscious to post or comment on their standards lest they get backlash or pushback) to even out the playing field.

First I just want to say thank you as a female for wanting to know what we think, and I understand you may also be concerned about backlash since you are anon, since women who want to know what men think/how we feel often get hated by other women. And you will of course have some women trying to say you're probably just a guy. But none of that matters.

One of the biggest things men expect from a partner is respect. The difference between men and women is that men do not care if they are not liked, but they do want respect. And a lack of respect from a woman in a relationship is often times one of the biggest killers, because women were taught that they need to have authority over a man and try to control him, whether that's through being adversarial or acting a certain way to manipulate how he feels. Both things are a form of needing control/trying to make him submit to it.

Men also are expecting a woman who desires him, and not even necessarily sexual desire, but that she wants him as a person and a partner, she wants him in her life and she wants to be in his life. Not a bunch of power games where a woman wants to do things to make some guy crazy or jealous enough to desire her. Again that's needing to have power over a man, and it just does not work and women still have not realized this. Desire for each other should be mutual, not the woman wanting the man to crave her more than she craves him.

No promiscuous past (not even one casual hook up), no tattoos, no nose rings, no short unnaturally colored hair, not fat, not greedy, selfish, or hypocritical, she needs to be honest/trustworthy, doesn't post provocative/revealing pictures online (that is actually cheating when in a relationship and is the same as taking those pictures and personally handing them out to other guys), be FAIR in the relationship whether it comes to the division of labor, financial obligations/fairness, initiating affection/intimacy sometimes too, etc. Also, no contact with any ex, no kids from past relationships, don't do emotionally harmful pranks on their partner to get views on social media, and basically just be a good quality person, which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE for American women to be apparently. And no, it isn't just younger generations of women, gen x and millennial women are some of the worst offenders when it comes to their behavior/morality/lack of good qualities.

The thing is that most of that list is VERY easy to accomplish for most women, while at the same time is nearly impossible because they are determined to be a low quality POS person. That is why plenty of women on G@G dislike me because I point out all the bad qualities they have that could have easily been avoided. They CHOSE to be that way and it is their own fault.

All men are different and people like to take online echo chambers as if that’s all men… or all women. I don’t have a issue with someone expressing their standards and preferences… Even if it’s laughably unreasonable and one sided. You know just to simply move on.

People are looking for different things. Some people want a more traditional relationship others not so much. But men who have standards and boundaries do not want one sided relationships… That’s all give no take.

Look, most people on dating apps are there for a reason. Either because they want hookups, they want attention, ego fuel, as well as validation, or they can’t get the kind of people they want in real life. When you see a mile long list of expectations … but they don’t have much to offer. Chances are the kind of men they’re wanting aren’t picking them for a reason.

I am married with 2 kids so I am no longer in this thing. It seems almost all women now are promiscuous and have been with multiple men. Almost all have piercings and tattoos. Almost all want to leave home and go to work all day and do not want children. Almost all "grow apart", "fall out of love" and want divorces, alimony, assets from him as they willingly choose to leave as they endlessly post about it on tic tok.

Most do not appear to have anything good to offer. Worst generations of women ever in history.

I think it is unchanged over millennium though men are a broad church and individuals may have high expectations. I have seen a medical graduate say his girlfriend/wife will need to have high qualifications in the same field.

Mostly though men want the feminine virtues (google). In particular

Good looking enough to provoke lust for her

Joking aside, if they are your partner, and happy, then more of the same. Too many people get swept up in the gossip, and half ass machinations of so called "columnists" and end up sowing doubt as a result. It's your relationship, other know little about it.

As for new relationships, listening to my 15 and 18 year old daughters, girls have it easier... unless it's Chinese or Korean girls.
