Dating an Iranian girl (kinda exclusive since that's in their culture) and since the conflicts have started she became very distant. We haven't talked on a phone for 14 days and messaged each other for 7 days. Last we messaged she was warm and sending hearts to each other, but since she has put my last message on read, and I initiated few times before, I didn't want to send her a message again. I did offer her support since she is worried about her family safety and has some other personal problems on the top of it.

Should I just keep waiting till she messages me first, if it ever happens? I don't want to overwhelm her.

In your case, all you can do is speculate, if she doesn't share about why she is distancing, dont push it. It can be anything, it could be family trouble, lost interest, other priorities..
