What is the point of dating events & meeting new people?

My previous experience so far with dating and having is hasn't gotten great since last year and in 2025, I met a few friends but gets turned off when guys go into relationships too fast and break up. I was going to meet & great. Is was organized a event by learning disability charity but hasn't yet worked out. i get turned off when I meet guys and they go to fast. I'm okay being honest. I'm not bothering with looking for a relationship anymore and just focus on my hobbies and meeting new people people that way from the gaming group i been introducing myself to new people and guys. Since i was fed up with the meet & greet wasn't working out and is was just friendship and that is about it. Also also i have 9 ex BFs i think. What is the point of dating events & meeting new people?

For fun and laughter possibly falling in love with someone or making new friends , the places you mentioned sound lame , Go to rock concerts , festivals , preferably Beer Fests 😊 and enjoy life as much as possible , We don’t know when are time is up

Dating events work for some people but they aren't for everyone. I have had the best luck meeting good people at work.

You’re right to focus on self improvements 90% of the time, but leave 10% for a dating or mingling event just bc… you never know. Focus on having a nice time and not on meeting “the one” ok?

I think 🤔 that you might feel better if you do some volunteer work. Not only would you be helping people out, but people meet each other by volunteering and end up in relationships 💞

It is very sad if you feel that you need a specific event to meet new people. You can meet people in your everyday life. It is not difficult.
