Would you lose respect for a guy if you learned his girlfriend used him for money and he let her?

Title says everything. Say she’s gorgeous but he pays for most of her stuff. He takes her on trips, pays off her phone and cars, basically does everything for her. We will say he pays for at least 70% of everything she needs to have paid for her.

I wouldn't lose respect for him so much as I would be confused as to why.

The REALITY of this world is most people in this world USE the other gender. The fact that she used him is not something rare. And there are a lot of guys that allow women to use them because they are playing the long game with her. She thinks she's playing them. But the reality is a lot of them are playing her right back. And a guys market value holds a lot longer than a woman's, that's just real.

So I understand on some level him allowing her to use him. But I've never been about that life. So while I understand it, to me it isn't worth it.

Not necessarily if he had enough income to operationally run her. She might be really good at blowjobs for example and return value in non-financial ways.

If a guy earns significantly more than the girl there is always going to be an element of this. It has been the basis of marriage for eons after all.
