Have you ever dated someone who was insecure? How did they express their insecurity?

It's in everything they say or do. There's always some attempt to show or prove that they're at your level or higher. It's like a tick that keeps ramping up till you start feeling overwhelmed by it... and the thing about it is that the person will NEVER feel like they're "enough" ... they'll constantly second-guess and camouflage the insecurities, "hiding" parts of their reality so they don't have to fix or explain it.

In its milder forms it's just the person's body language betraying them -- slouching, nail-biting, fidgeting, talking too much (or clamming up completely), over/under eating, poor eye contact, etc. etc. etc.

Yes, rarely works out depending on how depressed they are. It's different if someone actually wants to work on their securities and do something about it. It gets annoying when someone complains all the time but yet they do nothing about it. They can't expect a partner to help when they're not willing to help themselves.

I think so. She lied about almost everything about herself. I barely even was willing to meet her because she sounded like a complete flake. But I decided to give her a chance and she was nothing that she purported herself to be. I actually kind of liked the person I met. And if I thought I could trust her we might still be dating.

Ironic isn't it. She kind of kneecapped herself.😆
