How to bring up my girlfriend texting habits at times bothers me without sounding needy or insecure?

So my girlfriend I’ve been dating since late November at times her texts come across as dry and i feel like I initiate a subject change or keep the convo going a lot of times. It’s starting to really frustrate and annoy me because I feel like she doesn’t want to text or that I’m bothering her. How do I bring this up without coming across as needy or insecure?

Is she cold like that when she speaks?

If she's warm with you when she speaks, then just casually say "I love when we talk so much more than when we're texting. I can hear what you're thinking and love the way you say things... I have a hard time telling your tone when you're texting."

Make it "I" statements so she doesn't feel like she's being attacked. I did that and it was working, but i forgot and started using "you" and the person I was saying it too got defensive.

No not really, she does a lot of little things especially in person that shows she care and actually likes me. I know she said she’s not extremely clingy and mature about stuff which is what I’m not used to

So then just mention to her that you're used to a different style, and can she explain her style to you a bit more bc you're worried she's not as into you as you're into her.

You should really start trying to transition from texting to hanging out more regularly if you aren’t already. She may have been better about texting in the beginning but that’s most likely due to the honeymoon phase where everything is all new and exciting. Now that it’s wearing off (typical after 2-3 months), reality is setting in and she just may not genuinely be much of a texter, which is fine, a lot of people aren’t. If this is an LDR situation, try phone calls and FaceTime rather than carrying conversations texting so much. Texts are so impersonal and without much other interaction you become more like pen pals than a couple.

Maybe, she's not a big text person. I am your age and am horrible at texting people, my wife is the text queen. We constantly needle each other about this. It's early, slow down see how she is.

I’m actually 31 and she’s turning 29 in 2 days. I noticed she’s like that when texting her friends and family. Only off putting to me because when we were first got together she was definitely over eager texting and not like this. I just chalked it up to her feeling comfortable

Got it, maybe she over the beginning phase, maybe she is losing interest, just try not to jump to conclusions. in time you'll know and then go from there,
