What do women preffer?

I know some women will not want to reply to this, but I know me and a lot of men will honestly want to know the answer to this.
​Is this statement correct: 'Women love to feel the strength of a man she feels safe around and fully trusts.'
​After reflecting on things, I realized I am honestly a bit confused about how much assertiveness women actually prefer behind closed doors. I know everyone is different, but when it comes to that connection, do women generally lean towards a high-intensity, take-charge energy or slow, gentle romance?
​From my experience in one-off encounters, women prefer the first option. However, when in a relationship, this isn't really the case, and slow and passionate is preferred (according to my last relationship anyway).
​In my head, a person will go purely for excitement and what feels best in a one-off encounter, as there are no repercussions and you most likely won't see that person again. Therefore, you go purely for the most thrilling dynamic for you. Is there a shame/shyness that comes later in relationships? Do women actually prefer that bolder, more intense energy?

We are sexually dimorphic, we do tournament mating. Women are the more vulnerable of the two sexes as well. Its simple, its programmed in.

However, today pure strength and athleticism does not guarantee a guy a loyal 8-10 by those metrics alone. Well, it could but he’d have to be a professional athlete at that point BUT he’d have to still use some discernment in choosing the right woman, and those points right there mean he’s intelligent and he’s wealthy. With our civil and softer society these days combined with social media and smart phones birth control and women out earning men or at least matching them financially they are confused about whether they want or need the best protector and provider - they might enjoy their independence and not want to be 2nd in command or even have kids, but sex (and by extension romance) is still naturally an act of submission by them and thats how they are wired to want it.

I think we as guys like to believe this. But the percentage of toxic women today is kind of off the charts. Most women today have no idea what a strong male looks and acts like. That why so many repeatedly make so many poor choices when it comes to men.

Well, you talk of “romance” and “relationships” in your question. Romance to me could be planning a getaway, for example. Nothing to do with sex.

So, I was contrasting different aspects of a relationship to try and figure out what you were applying the terms dominant and passionate to, since they won’t let you ask it the way you intended.
