Where and how did you meet your partner when dating felt impossible?

I am 24yo single guy. I am introvert and a bit shy but i can be extroverted aswell, i just like spending some time alone. Dating has always been tough for me. People tell me they thought i would be the first one to get into a relationship and now i am one of the few ones single. Most of my friends are in relationships and as a result of that we dont spend as much time together as we used to and that means we dont go out much. So lately i am not really going to any parties and social events cuz i have no one to go with. And that means i am not meeting new people. I honestly dont have many opportunities to meet new girls. The thing is i live in a small town with like 3k people and i work in enviroment where there are no girls. Honestly i feel like i have nowhere to meet girls. From Monday to Thursday i am away at work and on Friday i usually have boxing sessions and then for the rest of the weekend i am busy as well and when i have free time me and friends go watch soccer or something. On weekends night i usually watch movies especially in winter months. Honestly i feel like it won't happen for me. I had last date three years ago, i wanted to stay out off dating for some time, i have been working on myself and my future so i neglected this whole dating thing. The options here are really limited and honestly i got tired of going to parties every weekend and stuff.

The answer is find a damn hobby out in your world of 3000 people you can do. Go out of the house and do it because you like doing it. Go metal detecting in the park, Gold paning at the creek, take really close up pictures of really big things, something, anything. When people see you having fun and enjoying life they will want to be a part of that. Then maybe they have a friend or you never know how things will work out but life happens when you are busy making other plans so get out there and stop focusing on the can't and focus on what you can.

When my options were very limited when there was no one interesting at work and no hobbies implying any group activity... Then I've found relationships via video games, social media and forums, which also means that I was okay navigating with one restriction: Distance. It's not for everyone.

dating didn't feel impossible i just wasn't doing it much because my schedule is so busy and then my boss at the time wanted to fix me up with this friend of her husband's and i wouldn't go out with him for a year but he just kept showing up at my shows and rehearsals when he could and one night i just decided to go out with him and we've been together ever since 🤷‍♀️
