Do people with opposite colored eyes attract?

Cause I've been told many times by people with lighter color eyes that they like dark eyes, I know it's personal preference at the end of the day but I wonder if generalized if different colors attract.

​Basically, if you have dark eyes, you’re probably a sucker for blue eyes just because they’re rare. It’s that exotic factor. But for the blue-eyed crowd, it’s a bit more complicated. They might find brown eyes super attractive for a short-term thing, but when it comes to marriage, they usually stick with their own kind. They’ll say it’s about trust, but deep down, it’s probably an instinct to keep the blue-eye gene alive since it’s so easy to lose.


​At the end of the day, the attraction isn't really a two-way street. Dark-eyed people are way more into light eyes than the other way around, mostly because light eyes are seen as a rare commodity.

Well, I would like to believe that as both my partners have different color eyes than me (one green and the other hazel, compared to my boring brown eyes), however, I really dont think a lot of people put a ton of thought into it when considering a partner unless it's an obsession of theirs.

Not really, I like brown eyes. Colored eyes kind of scare me. They look like wolverine eyes. I think it just comes down to what we’re used to and our personal preferences are kind of made from things we’re familiar with most of the time.

I have chocolate brown dark colored eyes. I have mostly been attacked to guys with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
I've only been with one guy who has sky blue eyes. Pretty eyes! 😍

Yeah I think it is a preference thing. Mine are blue and I like green eyes if getting to pick but eye color has never been a reason I would or would not date someone.

Not to me. I have blue eyes. And while I might not mind a woman with brown eyes if I like her. I don't find brown eyes attractive.
