Dating - Meet, delete the app?

I got to know a man via dating app. We meet and he says "babe" to me. And that he misses me and asked if I missed him too. We did not meet 3 weeks and after that.

We know about 1-2 month. I do not look what he does with his phone but sometimes when I am talking to him or when he shows me anything a message comes in. From the app.

Would you delete the app if you meet someone, have sex, or is that normal that he stays?

I think the best time to delete the app is once you feel like you’ve found the singular man or woman that you want to focus on, aka to become a couple. Up until then, it makes sense not to put all your eggs in one basket, because you want to feel sure about that person before letting go of your other options. I’d personally give this range of time like 2-3 months, with the longest being 4. People shouldn’t need 6-7 months to decide whether or not they wanna take someone seriously.


In your situation, it kinda sounds like this guy love-bombed you pretty fast, giving you pet names, saying how much he missed you, etc. Usually guys who do this are trying to create a sense of trust, familiarity and to make you feel secure despite only knowing them like 2-3 weeks. Sometimes less time than even that, I have friends who men would call baby or other pet names before even getting off the dating app. I’d really advise against dating a man who does too much, too fast. Often times they’re laying it on so thick because they’re trying to get laid already. Even if they keep in touch afterwards, it’s rarely ever to work towards something serious and instead to secure a regular hookup without officiating anything.
