I’m 27, never had a girlfriend or real talk with women—is anyone else like this?

Forget about having a girlfriend, I haven't even had a proper conversation with a woman in my entire life, except for my mother. I’ve never even said a simple 'hello.' Just so there’s no misunderstanding, I’m not looking for a girlfriend either; a man who’s made it to 27 alone isn't going to die from being single after this point. I’m just curious if there are others like me out there. People around me find it really strange when I tell them.

​At this point, it wouldn’t work anyway. My lack of experience would cause issues, plus I don’t have a school or work environment right now where I’d even encounter women. If a guy didn't have a girlfriend even when he was in classes full of girls during high school and university, it’s definitely not happening after that.

More often then not people self sabotage anytime an opportunity comes up they don’t take it. And when women make moves on those men they reject it.

I have a hard time believing that no woman is interested in you. But nobody can force you to pursue romantic relations either. If you don’t want it. Don’t pursue it. You don’t have to hate women and people who are truly happy single don’t hate the opposite sex overall. Because they really don’t care one way or the other if anyone’s interested.

It comes down to that you just won’t try anything or talk to anyone or do anything. Which showing zero interest will cause people to loose interest. Or may cause people who aren’t healthy to become stalkers but that’s another topic. Needless to say….. Either way. Not good.

I almost thought it would be that bad but high school doesn’t really count because in most cases relationships don’t really go any further but in college is where you would really meet women but your culture is different anyways so you probably have limited women available for what you’re looking for, you probably would need an arranged marriage

Turkey is a secular and culturally very westernised country. No problem having access to woman here, nothing like other islamic countries.

Arranged marriages happens here only among more rural, less educated and socio economically lower class of people.
My family are upper middle class, secular and westernized and I live in a big city. Arranged marriages are not socially acceptable among my family and my social chamber.
Girls around me would rather date, fell in love and then get married.
