What does a perfect dating app profile look like to you?

What are some of the things you like to see in someone's profile that makes your want to meet them?

If they are genuinely honest with what they say they are looking for and lay it all down right there on the table, and cut to the chase, you can decide right away if you two are a match or not.

Hopefully they put up a picture that is really them and not someone else. Physical attraction has to be in the equation.

Once again what they say about their what their passion for life is. What interests do they have and does it match with what you would like in a relationship.

If they bring up region and their political affiliation - both of these would be a game changer.

If they talk about children. If they already have children, or if they don't want children, and if they have always wanted children and a family of their own.

Their honest intentions are with what they are expecting of me would be most important. Because if they just want to hook up with me just for sex, then they might as well go find a hooker!

I don't go on hookup sites (what dating sites actually are) and therefore, I have never seen a hookup profile. However, from what I read on GaG in all the years I have been here is that people lie about their profile.

They give the wrong age, they lie about themselves and only tell what others want to see but seldom the full truth. Who in their right mind is going to say that they have a criminal record or suffer from addictions or even are walking red flags?

Pictures are enhanced to make those people look good. That is the very first red flag. There is no such thing as a perfect profile because everyone lies in a way or another.

That fact alone does not make me want to meet anyone.

I don’t use dating apps I’ve been on them for very short periods of time and based on what others say. Majority of people who are on there…. Tend to be desperate and cannot find anyone in real life or just looking for validation. That’s really all it is. Or causal sex. Occasionally you’ll find better.

It’s better to meet people in real life I’ve found.

Basically anything but complaining. Some people seem to use their dating profiles to complain about their bad experiences. I see women who's tagline is "Don't Waste My Time!" Then they give a long list of everything they want, without saying what they bring to a relationship. I think the people who don't write anything at all are more attractive to me than the complainers. Some just keep it simple. They say "Send me a message, you never know what it could lead to."

Pictures without makeup, dressed how she typically dresses and how her hair is usually fixed. I'd also like to know some of her hobbies and interests to see if there is anything in common, and her expectations such as if she has or wants kids, if she drinks and parties or not, if she wants to split the cost of dating or if she expects the man to pay for everything. Those kinds of things would make a difference to me. For me, if she had no interest in gaming, either video games or board games, I know it wouldn't work out long term.

a full profile done with a bit of care essentially. that looks like a couple pictures where you can clearly see what he looks like and a couple others that show a bit of his personality. honestly the more pics, the better. He fills in a lot too and gives a lot of information about himself and what he's looking for. the more a profile says about the guy the better. cherry on top if he can inject a bit of his playfulness into it.

i don't read them. i just swipe based on looks. not cause i'm superficial but cause i don't get lots of likes so that way i can max my likes and then sort out the ones i don't want because of what it says on their profile after they already liked me.
