Never heard of that saying but there is probably some truth in it.

Men tend to "fall in love" from the day they start puberty until they are practically on their death bed, whereas the term "falling in love" is more likely to be wanting to get into the pants of every female that is likely to pay a little attention to them or even when they think that they have a chance with those women.

The unfortunate thing with men and falling in love is that the love is usually limited to the female genital organs and not really the personality, character and intellect of that woman.
