Yes, long time ago, a female friend (who I almost proposed to, but that's another story) fixed me up with her friend on a date. Didn't go well at all. We had nothing in common, and she was definitely not my type.

Oh yeah, I've had guys but mostly women try to hook me up with female friends in the belief that "we'd be perfect for each other". Nearly every time, they haven't asked me (or her) first. They just do it in the moment without any warning. And it pisses me off! Can you say awkward boys and girls? Now I have to spend the rest of the night being nice to someone I may not even like. Or... being me... I just flip the awkwardness on them and tell them I have zero interest out loud, right there in front of everyone. That usually cures the behavior in one shot.

It happens…. You can say yes or no but if it’s just casual sex it isn’t worth it. I’ve seen people do this for an opposite sex friend who they genuinely like….. but maybe they aren’t super interested in them romantically but think that the other person does. So they try to set them up to be helpful and get them over them…. If that makes sense

Yes, many times. However, not my male friends. It's always curated by female friends or the girlfriends/wives of my male friends. Women love playing match maker.

My only condition is that any first introductions have to be social. Invite us over to dinner or something in a zero strings attached sort of arrangement. Then if we click, we click, and I can invite her out on a proper date. Otherwise, no harm done.

I've had to many horrible blind dates to do them sight unseen anymore. lol.

Hell yes, friends wives are always thinking I need someone and try to set up "dates" or situations and its annoying as hell.

They think my choice to remain single and only date casually is wrong.

I had a cousin that tried. Her (my cousin) and I weren't exactly close, so it surprised me when she told me she had a friend she wanted me to meet. I was touched by the thought but told her I'm not comfortable doing things like that.
