Girls, would you be more hurt if your boyfriend cheated with a guy or a girl?

I think a girl would be less traumatic. Trust would be shattered, it would cause piles of self-doubt (what does she have that I don’t) but it could possibly be a onetime thing and the marriage is potentially salvageable. And potentially, the marriage could be saved. Personally, because we have young children (13 and 10), there’d be a long separation with a hope of saving the marriage because I love this man. But ultimately, due to trust, it’d likely end in divorce.


Homosexuality, it’s not optional so that’s the married done, full stop. Also, like most women, my self-esteem would be devastated if my husband turned out to be Gay (I’d still love and be supportive of him) and the self-doubt would be FAR worse with a Gay man because of doubting your worth as a woman rather than simply as a wife. I also live in a relatively liberal part of the Bible Belt, so there’s the nut cases to worry about. Although my husband is a big, strong guy.

I'd be devastated in both situations. Extremely jealous if he wanted to be with another girl, because I'd start to compare and ask: why? Extremely hurt if he wanted to be with another guy, because I'd start to ask: why has he lied to me all this time?
