How long did it take you to fully date again after a long marriage?

After my ex wife and I parted ways , it was hard for me to feel fully ready to date again , even though I got over my ex for the most part , it has been hard for me to start over again and give myself to someone new because I had some doubts about what my ex put me through , when I meet a girl I am interested in , I prevent myself to give myself fully to her and tell her I want to take the slower road. Have you ever experienced this? How long did it take you to be able to give yourself fully again?

My wife died in 2010 it took me years to even think I might want another companion and then when I got to the point where I thought I wanted one it was tough trying to find anyone who might would feel compatible moved during this recovery period and now in Alaska all the changes have made things more complicated for my end and then I feel sometimes I’m on a different planet and I have to learn the ways of these vampire alien life forms I’m still learning and having issues but I feel certain that the time will come and I will know it when it happens I just keep plugging along I guess

I tried for years and it took 9 years before I finally did but lasted about a year and half only

Like I told you before it took me 40 years until I fell in love again and you already know with whom.

Between all three divorces it was kinda scared. Between 6 months to couple of years.

I am only going to date younger girls’ moving forward, because once a girl hits the ages 45 to 55 , she enters menopause which is the number 1 leader of the divorce and break ups because she becomes a complete wack job
