I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you were saying pushing for sex really fast, then that CAN be (not always) a red flag.

The issue with people nowadays is that they want to stay online forever and get to know the person there before actually meeting up for an in-person date. The best way to get to know someone is always in person. If anything, wanting to meet up and have an in-person date is the better way to go. The faster you're offline, the better. You get to know people ON dates. That's the whole point of dating.

I'd say it depends on how you met. Like if you met at work or a social space you both frequent then probably there should be a slow buildup of some kind right?

But if you met at a bar or walking down the street or the internet or some other situation where you're not necessarily garuenteed to continue to be in eachothers orbit, then you gotta move things along a little faster. I would even go so far as to say it's the respectful thing to do.

What do you think a date is? That's how we get to know someone. We spend time with them and talk. Texting is not the same, and is largely a waste of time before meeting. When I was dating online, if a woman showed interest but wouldn't meet, I figured she was a waste of time. Women who are seriously interested in finding a partner are ready to meet.

I was trying to open minded and hope for benefit of a doubt I wouldn’t prejudged these type of situations. I still hold this belief but I wanna try to be open minded depending on the situations lol.

So far… I still maintain the same belief and recently reject those types of rushed dates as I don't know if it truly holds good intentions.
