Okay so what I meant is that if this hypothetical girl and I have a lot in common it is because I told her a lot about me. Equating I shared intimacy with her, assuming she related to that of course. So now she understands exactly where I'm at in my life, it's bad lol.

I've created this fire, I played with it, willfully or not, and it wasn't my brightest idea.

That’s not reality. You can absolutely love your spouse and still be attracted to somebody else. What if the season in which my wife is in isn’t allowing for my needs to be met or vis versa? Husband working too many hours and ignoring the wife’s feelings. Or wife going through post partum and becomes verbally harsh to the husband. Somebody you perceive who can fill that void will become tempting if you keep them around long enough. That doesn’t mean you don’t “love” them.

That naivety will get you in trouble. If you want to stay loyal, then you realize that attraction and affairs happen and you need to protect your relationship from it. Any one of us can be tempted.
