Why does this happen to me?

I hate that guys gravitate towards me more when I’m stand offish? I hate it because I’m usually at my worst and they seem to show genuine respect/ interest in me as a person… I learned the hard way on multiple occasions that I was just a challenge to them and they needed an ego boost…

They usually already have a girlfriend or they really have no intention on being with me and it puts me in a really low place and mood.. I’m thinking someone sees me but in reality I’m just a game to them.. and these men are socially popular, extroverted and very attractive… and I show no interest in them

I liked a girl who become standoffish with me. I think it's because I accidentally ignored her, and it took me a year to figure it out after. I don't think it made me me any more attacted to her, but it certainly added to my confusion.

to be fair it's not you it's them, if they can't be honest with you, then their either hiding a girlfriend or just dont have the balls to give you a straight answer, in which case then forget about them and move on.
