Why would a woman chase me to talk but avoid exchanging numbers?

So basically I was at a campfire with my church group that some guy was hosting and when I had to leave, the girl that had to move her car behind me literally ran over to me as I was getting in my vehicle and said she was all impressed with my insight and all this other stuff.

Keep in mind I hadn’t even talked to her that whole night and she must’ve gotten there only like 30 minutes before I left.

Anyway she basically said she’d want to meet again and so I asked if she goes to the weekly meet on Wednesdays and she said she hadn’t been going to them but that she’d definitely go to the one next week.

Anyway, I basically said if you’d like we can exchange #’s to get to know eachother better but for some reason she just insisted on meeting again next week and still seemed all excited about it and that was it

What do you make of the situation?

Why would she reject the phone # exchange if she were interested?

Perhaps she thinks that by exchanging numbers everything between the 2 of you will be rushed and not work out if so? Maybe the excitement of continuing meeting you is because of her deep interest in you so she is trying to take it as slow is possible to avoid problems that may end you both, she doesn’t want that !!


Maybe talk to her about it, ask why she doesn’t want to exchange numbers but wants to see you often. Could be a personal
reason?

Maybe she wants to see how it goes first with future meetings

She could be unsure if she's actually interested in you. A lot of women don't give out their numbers right away..
