Why do so many tall men seem to prefer dating short women?

Hey don't blame us, LOL. I'm 6'2" and I actually prefer women about 5'6" to 5'9". But the women who hit on me are consistently maybe 5'2 to 5'4". Even in heels they don't come up to my shoulder. Why do short women seem fixated on guys a foot taller than them? I know part of it is there are more women who are 5'3" than 5'9". So what seems like a disproportionate number of short women approaching me is probably a reflection of the US population rather than women's fixation on tall guys. On the other hand it's not uncommon for women to remark on my height. So they are definitely taking notice and even commenting on it. That tells me it is something that is some sort of criteria for women. Maybe important. Maybe just a thing they notice.

As a tall man i can tell you it's because short women are the most aggressive in pursuit of me. I could care less about a woman's height to be honest. Think about it hun. Which are you more apt to be interested in the tall guy who stares at you awkwardly and never says anything? Or the short guy who who comes over expresses interest in you and chats you up? So why do you think it'd be dofferent for guys.

***disclaimer: yes i also realize how ridiculous SOME women are about height. So some may choose the tall guy anyhow.😂 But guys typically do not have this hangup.

That's a good question - at 5 foot 11 - I'm not a 6 foot 5 guy.

But I do appreciate how a woman who's 5 foot - sure still seems fun, playful and I could potentially still pick her up literally and metaphorically and just have a good time.

Some women even seem to want that - a man taller than them. Muscles isn't everything 😋 but some strength, even if she isn't deadlifting.

Shorter women are often, but not always cuter. Also, tall men (6' +) have more options so they don't need to settle as easy as shorter men. (5' 9" -)

I've seen some women say "I like the photos when we stand together - he's taller than me and I'm shorten than him and I love that dynamic " - some women want the aesthetic looks of taller side by side shorter.
I know I like shorter women - took me a long time to realise.
