How can I make friends or find a boyfriend at 18 after homeschooling?

I’m 18 freshly for context, I started homeschooling around in middle school, so I didn’t have a high school life. Now as a young adult I’ve been trying to build friendships and connections which is hard given people around my age already have their best friends and boyfriends so I’m always left behind, I feel so behind given I don’t really have a best friend or boyfriend just a few friends here and there. I want someone who’s also behind socially like I am, so we can be on the same level, but that doesn’t seem possible given everyone who’s out and about are already dating. I know I shouldn’t be trying to force getting a boyfriend but gosh I feel so lonely and envious of my friends who go on dates, any advice? And sorry if this doesn’t make sense.

Well you need to get out there and meet people. Naturally it is going to be hit and miss depending on where you go and whatnot. It is a great time since it is summer. There are all sorts of things that go on where I live.

Pick some local events and ask the friends you have to go with you and mingle. That is a good way to get yourself out there.

I get that feeling getting out of highschool, being single isn't that bad, if it terrible for you then you don't necessarily have to find a boyfriend in a school, go to social events and gatherings, perhaps something of your interest that you can still benefit off it if you don't find worthy interactions, eventually, with enough events, interactions are inevitable

Well if you wany some equal plenty of lonely guys exist but then you'd have to want them and find them, but equally we don't mix in the same spaces and that.

At your age I had a "starter date" with a kid who was in college. His mom worked with mine and they kind of nudged us both into it. That's probably ideal for you.

Church, college. Honestly probably one of the best things that will help you though is just to get better at social interaction. My husband and I were both homeschooled, but we were also both well socialized.

my kids went to a larger church near by when they moved out. the church is geared around college students.
