It's not true. Women don't become obsessed with those traits. But they will potentially respect a man who demonstrates a little self respect. I say potentially because there's a lot more that goes into a woman's calculus about a man.

• Does he have boundaries and standards for himself and others and does he enforce them?
• Is he basically a kind person?
• Does he have any concept of empathy for other people?
• Has he achieved anything in life or does he at least have goals and ambition?
• Is he at least moderately intelligent?
• Is he well educated?
• Does he demonstrate any curiosity about the world around him?
• Is he fun to be around?
• Is he mentally healthy or needy and defensive?
• Is he fit?
• Does he have a sense of style that doesn't scream high school or college frat boy?
• Etc. etc. etc.

This is not rocket science. It's looks, personality, character, career potential, and how a guy treats other people.

The only statement that may be true is the one about respect. It does not matter whether you are a man or a woman. Both genders require respect in any relationship.

Furthermore, being obsessed is never good in any relation. Obsessing about somebody means that you're losing your self-respect because you would be doing things that you would not do in any other circumstance.

A healthy relation is one that shows respect for each other and not to subject yourself to something you do not want just because you are obsessing and wants to keep that partner at all costs.

No. That isn't true. I am living proof of it. I don't date or sleep around. I hardly then obsess over a man.

Could you not say the same thing about guys? That they obsess over women that have plenty of other options and won't be disrespected?
