Do I need to do anything special on a first date with a friend?

I've liked this girl for at least a year and a half, who i am also good friends with, she seems to like me too. We work in the same mall with our stores close to eachother, but we dont directly work together.

I recently asked her out, and she said yes she would love to. My question is, do i need to do anything special on the first date (s) to win her over and make her my girlfriend or should i just be my normal self?

A friend is a friend & a date is a date & as for going out with a friend this could be a tricky one. As for going out on a date with a friend simply be yourself & hopefully she knows you two are going out on an actual date & not just going out as friends.

In life I always say if you never try you will never know. On the other side of things just remember when it comes to matters of the heart the heart wants what the heart wants & sometimes the heart can’t always have what it truly desires & sometimes hearts do get broken.

As for dating your friend I know you want to win her over & if truth be told anything is possible. As for making her your girlfriend just remember you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make the horse drink it.

If your date is actually a date & things go right & you two get hot for each other just remember the following. CONDOMS PREVENT MINIVANS.

She obviously likes you for who you currently are. Just be upbeat, engage in some fun conversation and enjoy a few laughs. I would take it slow on pushing for sex. Let her determine to some extent how fast that occurs. Is she around your age? Do you think she wants to take the friendship to the next level?

I agree with @Abbycado that you want to be yourself. The thing is that you don't want to misrepresent who you really are because the true you will come out eventually.

As for the date, make it something simple and fun. Presumably, it is summer where you live. That opens up tons of options.

Make it somewhere that you can talk and get to know each other. If I were up for dating, a nice walk somewhere would be just fine with me.
