What are all these women today “still figuring out”?

Almost any remotely attractive girl on their dating profiles are saying this as their dating intentions now. Like how do you not know if you want something real or not? It really makes them all look like walking red flags. How do you not have an ideal of what you’re looking for?

My theory. The abundance of attention they get is absolutely rotting their brains. “Do I want Chad? No, how about Brad? Tyrone? Oh but Billy is kinda cute not my type, but eh maybe I’ll keep him in the background.” It’s literally this times 800 with some of these girls.

I feel like a big part of that could be women trying not to come off too strong or to protect themselves entirely. I tried a dating app in the past for about 2 months, and pretty quickly noticed a pattern of noncommittal men. I was very intentional so some of the first questions I’d ask were “what are your intentions of using this app?” Or “what are your intentions for talking to me?”. I’d get matches every day, and out of all those men, only a handful said they were looking for relationships. Every other guy gave me versions of: “just going with the flow” “just seeing what’s out there” “I’m not quite sure yet” “let’s talk and see where it goes”.


As a man who’s grown frustrated and exhausted with both women and dating apps, you may not be able to see outside of your personal biases, but from an outside perspective from the opposite sex, I’m just saying that men can be equally confusing, misleading or unsure of what they want altogether. Dating apps have either become or have always been cesspools of both men and women who are afraid of “doing too much”, saying too much, or chasing people off with their good intentions. A lot of troubled individuals with untreated trauma and baggage flock to these apps, making it hard for those who are actually seeking a real connection to find someone who wants the same thing. It’s frustrating, disappointing, but that’s why this method of dating has gained such a bad track record and reputation.

Same reason people get to college and don't always know what they want to study yet. People move at different speeds and take their time without rushing into it. Not everyone is desperate to take the first thing that comes along.

Again, the abundance of choice only amplifies this and prolongs a woman’s singlehood, and exposes her to damaging, short term flings and the consequences that result.

What this means is that even if you’re a good option for a woman, they are all confused and stuck trying to go for the tippy top 5% of men. So if you aren’t this tippy top % man, you’re kind of screwed.
