Depends what you are talking about, there's medical forms like intoxication or under specific medications that can manipulate people's decisions and then there's mental as in heartbroken, traumatized, sad/depressed, I'm going to assume the second half since you said mindset

It' means someone is emotionally unavailable, overwhelmed, or dealing with personal issues that cloud their judgment in relationships nothing to do with legal capacity or consent, just pure emotional readiness

Looking at the comment below, I didn’t realize this was about you being on the spectrum. With that context, I do believe I’ve seen you post about this several times before, and I don't know girl it makes it look like maybe you really aren’t in the right mindset. If a professional can’t help you understand, nor your own parents, then I’m not sure what more we can say. Or haven’t already said, since you ask about this often. This is a small community so you’ve probably gotten feedback from several of the most active users. Nothing helps you.

Sorry I didn’t see your comment before I sent mine. Well, if a professional says you can date then I don't know why it matters what anyone else thinks. If a guy is telling you this, then you could always ask him to clarify, because he is clearly seeing something within you that makes him feel like you wouldn’t be in the right mindset..

Also, if the guy who you are trying to date thinks differently, then it doesn’t matter what a professional says. A diagnosis doesn’t dictate whether or not someone wants to deal with it. That’s his choice, so be mad at him. Go argue with him.

"Not being in the right mindset" means your current mental, emotional, or psychological state is out of alignment with what a task or situation requires.

That they can't or simply choose not to take initiative in the relationship. I'd also take it to mean that the person doesn't have long-term intent or a vision of what they want from the relationship, and ultimately, out of life.

It means you post the same stuff here about not getting laid and then getting laid and then your parents not wanting you to get laid.

I just had an evaluation yesterday and they said I’m in sound mind to make decisions I have paperwork to prove it so don’t doubt me
