I think it’s more of a case-by-case basis sort of thing, because obviously those situations exist, even if they’re in the minority. It’s more about that woman having good judgement, and being wise enough to recognize whether the man is genuine or he’s just fetishizing her.

I don't see how an interest could be genuine when someone confuses people with whatever trait they're fixating on, that trait could be a much younger age, or boob size, wallet size, virginity, hair colour, skin colour etc.

That's obsession. Obsession doesn't make us meet people, it just makes us meet whatever this obsession demands.

It could be. People, especially women say love knows no boundaries or you can’t help who you fall in love w, love is love. If he spent a lot of time w her, got to know her more, loved her personality, her femininity, etc, etc, sure it’s possible.
