Why would a man in his late twenties continue to show interest in a woman in her late 30's?

I've been talking to a man in his late 20's (almost 30) and he says I look 30. Not sure why he continues to show interest - but what are his intentions?

You say you look thirty but how old are you? If we’re talking a few years older that hardly qualifies as a concern. Enjoy the experience and maybe don’t think much of it. If there is a substantial age difference then maybe just ask him where he sees this evolving to. Some dude like a more mature woman. They tend to be more stable, financially responsible, better in bed, and better at communication. (Not always, but often). Lastly, speaking as a dude - if the chick is hot enough we don’t care about age much. I’ve known more women in their thirties in amazing shape than I ever met in my 20s.

Unless there is a really deep soul-to-soul connection, or he’s trying to gauge for that, he likely just wants to get laid and thinks he has a good chance with you.


There are also men that are attracted to women who are older than them, but that’s more of a kink and not really something important for a serious relationship.

We had common interests to discuss and I never noticed the age gap, we look the same age even though there is a 10 year gap and it just developed into more talking b/w us. I am curious to see where this will go, but staying in touch as friends will always be my main intention.

A majority of my single years I had a 5 year gap rule either way. For long term
If it was likely going to be a fling I’d expand my age range.
