Does she want a relationship, or is past heartbreak holding her back?

Hello, I met this girl back in the summer, we’ve been on 3 dates after the 3rd date she tells me she likes me, enjoys talking and can see it going somewhere but is nervous. She calls me every single day sometimes multiple times a day. We’ll talk for hours sometimes. She told me very personal stuff, and I assume feels safe. I haven’t directly asked but from statements she made it sounds like she may have been cheated on In the previous relationship. And for that I can’t blame her for not wanting to date again. I’m doing everything to make her feel safe, and I’m there for her. She don’t talk about other guys and I don’t talk about girls. But I’m confused at where I stand with her. She doesn’t call me a friend and when we talk she kinda talks in a future tense at times and said we should make a pact to be together on nye? Can someone tell me where I stand? I didn’t think it would go as long as it has but I don't know what’s going on !!

I’m not sure how long you’ve known her for, but with how well you two seem to be getting along, I’d have a pressure-free conversation with her about what your future timeline could look like if you choose to continue seeing each other. On one hand I think it’s great that you do your best to basically show you you’ll treat her well, but what you don’t want is for it to all be for naught because she’s still healing from old wounds. I think it’s important for people to do that inner work before seeking out a new connection, so that neither of you are paying for what an ex did.
