Personally speaking, I find it a tad immature, cocky and superficial.
When I see that sort of thing it's kind of neither here I suppose, but it just makes me think: "... why?"
I don't like it, and I think the majority of (level-headed) girls don't like it. A guy who expresses good character says way more than nice abs ever could.10
I personally don't think it's any different than girls showing their cleavage or posed with their butt sticking out. Both of which I have a negative opinion of.31
Hate it when people do this. What're you trying to prove? There's a certain charm in humility even if you DO have the goods. I'm in exceptionally good shape myself and I don't take shirtless pictures of myself. Hell, in my experience most girls can TELL you are in good shape, even if you wear a hoodie, it's very easy to.10
before I didn't have body pic and I don't think the number of female freind request (wich is almost of my requests) have decreased but yeah bod pics are perfectly fine a girl (generally) but be ready lots of hate if you are a guy and ironicly it tends to be worse the better your body is0
What Girls & Guys Said
I find it quite trashy. To me, it shows that they're arrogant and probably a bit of a douche. I see it as more of a Jersey Shore type thing where they're so concerned about showing off how "amazing" they look. Nothing wrong with caring about how you look, but just a picture of your abs? No. So it'd definitely push me away.30
Women love it when your muscular, but also really modest about it . Like you have it, but you do t show it off unless you're a the beach or something. They like it when they can tell your built , but you hide it from them so they kind of have to guess10
I think it makes the guy look cocky. Usually the guys who do that are the ones who think they can get in your pants just like that.40
It comes of as cocky or male version of slutty/trashy..lol
Imagine me in a bra as a profile pic...That would be showing off.30
Depends on what kind of girl you want. If you want a relationship girl, then no. Please it just looks douche-y. But some girls who aren't looking for a meaningful relationship may appreciate it.10
It doesn't attract me nor make me think that he's cocky, but I just don't like it when guys do that. I think it makes the guy look immature no matter how good his abs look.10
I personally don't like it, neither find it attractive30
Cocky that's what my current boyfriend always does at first I didn't think much of it and now I'm starting to think that he's more full of himself then he lets on. Also has to show off his body all the time.10
yeah its immature and annoying. what are you trying to prove?20
or that you're just buff.
I'd rather see your face, personally.10
Unless a guy actually has something to be proud of "only ever seen one person that does" it just makes you look like a tryhard douche10
I always thought the guy got the pic from google or something10
my god I can't wait for this era of body pics and duck faces to go away. so annoying.10
imo neither, it doesn't attract me and it doesn't make me think that they're cocky.10
Complete douchebag comes to mind. Makes me run for the hills faster than the speed of light.0
Everyone is going to say no but the truth is, I've gotten a ton of friend requests from chicks since I put my pics up.10
Makes them seem desprerate and or shallow but some girls may like it. Sexualism is accepted to a degree by some women and not by others.0
Ab pictures are highly encouraged.10
In my eyes, ab shot = douche10
I just think its anoying to see-so cliché10

I personally find that kind of thing to be a turn-off, even if I find the body attractive. Just the act of showing off your body to random strangers on the internet is unattractive to me because it gives me the impression that he's looking for attention and validation to feed his ego due to insecurity, or looking to hook up or talk dirty with chicks online. Both of which I think are silly.
