Polls: Dating

I grew up with four brother, I was the only girl 😢 My parents and brothers are very protective of me and always have been. Growing up I wasn’t allowed to hang out with certain people especially boys and those very few guy friends I did have we’re scared off.

I’m now 23 and have never been kissed or been on a date and part of the reason is because I’m terrified that my parents or brothers might do or say something. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it in my head.

I want to go on dates, I want to have my first kiss and more but I can’t exactly do it in secret because they literally watch everything I do. Sometimes I feel that they’ll be okay with me dating and being in a relationship but they’ll make a comment or do something that changes my mind.

Like today I was scrolling through TikTok in my room and my brother knocked on the door. I put the iPad down on the bed and opened the door. My brother saw the iPad and saw a guy on it and automatically started asking questions like “what are you doing “ and “who’s that”. Imagine if I was actually on FaceTime to a guy 🤦🏼‍♀️ It embarrassing.

Anyone else in similar situation and if so how are you coping? Advice welcome

I just witnessed this:

Two guys are friends. They're in the same circles. Not best friends, but close. New girl enters.

All three people are above average in looks though their morality and sexually-driven motivations are pretty suspect. They're all sleeping around a lot.

Anyway, Guy #1, the bartender manager goes out with girl first. It doesn't last long. But they're really into each other. Coworkers talk. He's been sleeping with the staff. He's evasive and non-commital. He's ghosted, jumped around. Some girls warn the girl about him (although some of their motivation is jealousy, as well.) But she's an independent girl, and she doesn't like being told what to do. And, she thinks she is/wants to be special. She goes out with him anyway. They hit it off. Apparently more than with the others. After a short time he asks her, "You wanna be exclusive?" much to her surprise. She is happy. "Yes."

But before things really get going, another third party [helps her out?] by showing her a pic of him with another girl. On a date in a lunch place. She gets pissed. "I thought we were exclusive. You're already sneaking around on me?" "No, that was before. Before we decided. It's over now." But she doesn't believe him, breaks up. Then quickly changes her mind, asks to get back together. He: "No, I don't like the drama." He's also apparently upset about her not trusting him, and listening to outside influences.

Shortly after, she gets asked out by Guy #2, personal trainer. They also hit it off. She likes him "Even more. He's a man, not a boy." Trainer asks bartender friend, "Hey man, you ok with this... if I date her now?" He doesn't say much. He doesn't want it to happen but feels he can't intervene. Time goes by, and now and now guess who comes back? Bartender: "I just want to let you know that I care about you. I want you back." Huh? "I was scared." Of what? "Of falling in love, getting hurt."

Everytime we see a pretty girl, she says:
"Oh look at her, she's hot"

Everytime we see a good-looking guy, she says:
"Damn he's hot"

So she likes men and women equally

We have been best friends for over 10 years

But she's never been in any relationship before

I've been in few relationships

I recently broke up with my ex boyfriend
And so we were drinking
Then she said
"Omg, its so good you being single, I have my drinking friend again!
All you do is hangout with your ex and no time for me"

And recently, she wants us to find a place to rent and move in together

So far it’s really good, I just started using one last night and I’ve gotten a lot of messages and likes, plus me and this one guy have a lot of chemistry

This is a phenomenon I've seen a lot about. Some saying they'd rather die then date a person with pink hair, others say they find it really hot. I never see a middle-ground. So here's the question: Guy or girl, do you find someone who's dyed their hair an artificial colour attractive?

I am turning 18 in a few days and then I will finally be able to get on Tinder. I am just wondering how easy it is to get cute guys on there?

I never really understood all the fuss about social medias, mainly Instagram. I have no need to show various things from my life online or posting tons of pictures of myself, my pets or my meals... It's simply not a thing for me but many people think I'm lying when I say I don't care for it.

• What do you think guys? Would this stop you from interacting with a girl who's like me in this?
• Is that maybe even a turn off or simply a thing that would possibly bother you?

PS. I want to add I use FB to chat and for stuff like memes but that's the most of social media thingy to do from me.

So there's been a few times where my boyfriend has done or said things that i thought was really sweet and sometimes the words "i love you" comes to mind or i wanna say it. I don't know if its just based on the moment. The reason why im asking is i think i love him but i wanna make sure before i tell him. I've never loved someone other than my family. He makes me really happy and i enjoy talking to him and our future etc.
