Bees are some of the most important creatures on earth. And in this mytake I’m going to tell you why. They help the ecosystem by pollination and providing food to animals like this guy.

So let me go ahead and tell you why bees are so cool.

1. Queen Bee

And no I’m not talking about Beyoncé. The queen bee is the head of the hive. She lays all the eggs and controls the hive through pheromones. She can lay up to a 1000+eggs a day. So next time you hear someone complain about the pains of childbirth, remember about the queen bee.

2. The Males

The males are called drones. And their sole responsibility is to find a queen to mate with (so they’re basically professional players lol). They don’t have stingers and they’re only good for their dingalings. So kind of like humans, the drones sit around drinking honey all day, watching football or something.

3. The other female bees

if you’re not a queen you’re a worker bee. You do all the work in the home, like collecting nectar, feeding the babies, fixing the home, guarding the hive and just about everything else. All while not being appreciated. Stay strong worker bees.

4. They are Responsible for Most of the Vegetables and Fruits

Bees pollinate plants which help them grow. When they harvest a plant they also drop their pollen, which is rich in nutrition and other stuff. Every third mouthful you eat is thanks to them. Next time you’re eating an apple or eating broccoli (even though no one eats that) you better think about them bees.

That’s My Take on bees. Be appreciative of what they do for you. Without them we wouldn’t have as much as we do.

This is an awesome take! Short, sweet, and informative! Without a doubt, the bee is my most favorite insect.

1. Indeed. Apparently, a queen is created when a batch of larva are fed a special "royal jelly" that causes them to develop into queens instead workers. The first queen that exits its chrysalis and develop first kills all of the others so there would only be one queen. Reminds me of Highlander!

2. Indeed! Males are drones, and once they mate with the queen, they are kicked out of the hive, or even killed because there's nothing else that they can do except from consuming resources (honey).

3. Worker bees are all females. Their stingers are attached to venom-pumping glands. The stinger is actually a modified reproductive system. Bee sting allergies can be very serious.

4. Even if you neglect everything else that is really cool about bees, their ability to pollinate so many plants is the most important and impressive. Unfortunately, due to colony collapse syndrome, their numbers have been decreasing at an alarming rate. Fortunately, they actually found out the main reason for that problem: a fungal infection.

hey there, i love your post, my add on facts is if you suffer with asthma especially and even other allergies, buying local honey is of huge benefit because the bees have made their honey by harvesting local area flowers, therefore, the suspect flora that plays a major part in your allergic response. since i was a child we were bought up to assist any bee that was lethargic by making sugar water for them to sup up, never cutting your spring time dandelion, which are considered weeds in the general view, these are the first food sources for bees, planting plants in your garden even in pots is such an important way to assist in the prevention of the predicted future of our eco system... i recently came across people who have produced a paper that is specifically bee friendly link here, you are SO CORRECT in the fact that the majority of the people do not realise that if bees go we go.. xx

The sad thing is, just about everybody in the suburbs wants that perfect beautiful green lawn, without a single weed. The bees need those weeds (like clover) to make their honey. It's probably why bee populations are declining.

On hot days, bees cool the hive with their wings... if you find hive with bees at night, listen to this noise.
As like all life creatures... bees die, but they do it, because their wings have wear off due to permanent flights.
