Good day GAG Community.
Recently I decided that I need to make a change in the Quality Personal life as well as my retirement plan, thought to myself that to reach my goals I would have to change my professional profile drastically. I called it my “Operation finical independence”. Since this is a professional profile platform, I tough I will share my what I discovered. If this post helps only a single person, it will be forth it.
After a lot of research and probably to much finical and TEDX videos I came across some interesting facts that would be applicable in not only my life but by a lot of others.
1) First thing first I now had to set up a plan to reach my goal. As Antoine de Saint said “a goal without a plan is just a wish” People often jump into a decision without taking to time to consider the obstacles or obstructions that you might encounter or go for the “Bucket list rabbit hole” approach where you give yourself so much time that often procrastinate.
2) Money = Time. It is true that in order to make money you need to devote time to work, does not matter if you are employed, freelancer or an entrepreneur. The difference is you can always make more money an learn new skills, but you can never make more time. Reality is that there is only 24 hours in a day which the average person sleeps approximately 7 – 8 hours per day. So, spend time more consciously and value it more. The time that you spend working, make it worth it your employer or clients that way you can make more money during that time. The better you are at your profession and the more devoted you are at the job at hand, the more valuable your time become and in order to improve you need to study the skills you need and or practice what you do.
3) Neuroplasticity. We have tried to learn a new skill and after only a single section we feel that a have grasped it only to try again the following day and have lost all that skill. The reason for that is actually surprisingly simple. In short term your brain I able to increase the chemical signals between the neurons but for some reason that did not induce structural change that are necessary to support log term change. Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brane to change neural networks within the brain which support long term memory. So, the more you read up on a topic or the more you exercise the region of the brain used to perform that action the better your brain will be able to perform at that specific task or topic.
With all that being said I am still busy with my Research and will start reinventing myself soon. I hope this might have helped you a bit.
