In % it's more accurate for understanding.
Also, if I keep on this level, would I be able to get a scholarship in a good college abroad?
Sorry if this comes out as too obvious or facewall, but I'm not that sure. .-.
If you're speaking of the United States here is the following – – a 96% average is excellent but it is not enough to get into a great university in the United States. For that you need a 96% average plus great scores on your SATs. I do not know what other countries would consider qualifications for entrance. There are numerous multitude of universities in the United States that would be willing to accept you with good SATs
I'm not neccessarly thinking about the U. S., just in general.
A 96% average is excellent in any country
In Canada that is very good.
My average was 74% I think.
Wah wah really u r brilliant student
@Anilkumar11 lol no I'm not, not even average
Nop average are nice for me as so far I told you I r the best
It's a very high average by north American standards, and would be sufficient to get into almost any program. Some schools require more than just good marks.
I'm not sure how the school would treat your foreign marks. If you're trying to go to international schools, marks in recognized international programs would likely be very helpful (IB, AP, etc). Strong SATs or similar.
I don't know that too, but I hope they would understand "9.60" as it is written officially.
Especially because we have a book which is from Hungary and it is for students 2 classes up, this meaning that we learn more than in other countries.
I did pure math for a while in university. Plenty of eastern europeans in my program.
Not surprised your using books 2 classes up, my guess is for math at least, you're well ahead of north americans.
That book is a Biology book, but it is like this with every subject compared to Hungary and Germany. Something I have heard for awhile is that we learn more than in most countries.
To give you an idea, i looked at the university i went to, for romanian incoming students, they seemed to expect you might have international baccalaureate? Is that the case? If so, that's well known and understood internationally.
I don't know if our required baccalaureate is international. The only thing I know is that the English baccalaureate isn't taken in consideration when checking the someone's English level abroad, only Cambridge (or how it is spelled, I'm not sure right now.-.).
I actually added the word international.
It actually said Diploma baccalaureate or something like that.
If that's what you get, my local (major research) university is certainly familiar with that and knows how to interpret the marks.
OMG YES, I had an 84-85% average in high school, mostly due to failing math. Math was my worst subject, but art class made up for it :D
I feel you!
Math is a satan made subject. @.@

i believe 96% is percentile.
given the highest would be 99%, meaning you've done better than 99% of the students.
@0112358
Yes, that.
Thanks for wording this, I didn't know how to. .-.
i dunno where you're getting the % from..
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Romania
And Romania, but I don't want to go to college in this country.
1 to 10, but on tests is x out of 100 points, but I said it like this because everyone understands percentages. @.@
Do you really need to ask this question...
96% is an A*.
I have a classmate whose average is 100%.
I want to get into a good college, so I need to compete with people like her, and I'm sure she isn't the only one like that.
Good for you.
96% average is excelent, I'm sure you would have good chances.
yes it is good even in the US. i wish i could have gotten grades like that when i was in school
it depends on how hard it is to be oobtained and how frquantly you are tested to keep the grade. sounds good to me. maybe top class.
also you should know its higher level/superior to be average/good in many things/everything than be very good at some and bad at others and balance it this way.
My averages are kind of balanced.
But they can't know how hard or easy is to get a good average per school, or can they check that too?
I'm also in the top 5 (aka 5th) of my class with being disadvantaged too.
the "how hard it is" can be observed by how many people can achieve it. if already 4 people in your class have above 96% its not THAT hard. if it was 4 people in the whole school then you'd really be top level.
i thought in romania the system was with grades 1-10. or is it still this way and they just calculate these percentages? my boyfriend is romanian thats how i heard that.
Yes, it's 1-10, but I said in % to be more clear with everyone.
I have commented on a post saying 10 and someone understood it as "10%". 😅
I'm in a class with 28 people, so it's not a small class.
yeah. anyway. as scholarships are concerned i guess it really depends on the standards and requirements of the school you want to join and the country's laws
Yes. It means that 96% of answers on tests are correct.
is 96% out of 100% good? what do you think?
More for scholarship than anything because I'm not from a family that could afford to pay for me to study in a good college, especially abroad.
bruh, that's beyond good. then again, i guess what class it is and how well other kids are doing
It's a nature science class, but we are in a classroom with math and programming.
Math and programming is considered the best type of class because of it's high math level and nature science comes in very close as 2nd.
That's an A... So yeah that's really good
Its a very good average ☺
No!!! Terrible!!! 😑
I want to get a scholarship in a college that's abroad when I finish high school, this is why I'm asking. .-.
I have no fucking clue but that sounds excellent!
I could only wish for such grades.
Ummmm no...
