Grades need to be 80 and above to have actually understood the material really well

Depends. If it's a hard class/task then I would be proud of a c+ if I knew I could have done any better I would not be satisfied with that... I try to strive for way higher than that but sometimes I'm good with a c+ haha

Well it is passing... so no it is not "bad" per se... However, you are 14 & need to have a decent gpa throughout high school. It matters for your future. A c will not give you the gpa needed.

I view grades as passing or failing. The rest doesn't matter. Even a D- is passing
