Is a C+ bad in college? I need to vent. Advice please?

I got a 79.5 % in my Biology class and my Nazi of a teacher won't round it. I hate her. She can't teach at all, more than half the class dropped out. I have been above average in every test and I am an A student but this C is going to haunt me for a long time. I am looking to be a Physical Therapist and as a science major this can't be good. I was lookin' online and saw that apparently some doctors got a C once or twice before. Is it really that bad to have a C? Should I take it again and try to get at least a B?

Also, I would have to throw in some factors besides my god awful teacher. I am taking General Chemistry II also, which is schedule back to back with my Biology. And I have had tests in both classes on the same day, making it nearly impossible to study for it. I would have to do half and half studying for each class and not give an all out effort. And I still pulled a solid B in Chem II. Taking two other classes, totaling my total credit hours to 16.

A's are only important in high school. If you pass you get the credits right? If you get the credits you get the degree. All that matters today is that peice of paper. Unlessss you want to transfer schools, which I'm assuming you're already where you want to be. Don't sweat it!

I actually go to a community college, I already got accepted into the school I want to transfer but I don't wanna bring a C in Bio. I mean I am a very good student, I just got screwed with the worst teacher of my life. I had a 3.8 GPA and this is surely gonna bring it down. It's just one of my goals was to not get a C in college. Thanks for the encouragement it really, truly means a lot. I just hope it all works out.

Usually your letter grade in a community college doesn't transfer over when you go to a university, its just a pass fail grade. One C isn't going to matter, everyone has a bad class sometime, as long as your GPA is still goo you'll be fine.

I never looked at it like that but yeah a C definitely would lower my GPA though, right? :( I had a 3.8 GPA entering this fall semester too. I learned a lot after this semester to never schedule two science classes back-to-back. I had no room to breathe.

passing is the name of the game. Why retake a class of which you hated the teacher? a C isn't going to hurt anything. JUST pass and your golden

I would obviously take it with a different teacher lol, but just to retake it in order to get a higher grade. I don't think I will but maybe down the line if I got time ill think about it. A C just feels bad, it's my first in college. I guess I try too hard to be a perfectionist.

Your GPA doesn't matter anymore. If you're such a smart kid you'll figure out how to survive with a damned C.
