I am answering que of your disctiption. The distance between two points given is 9(7+2). Now we have to find a point that is 50 units away from 7 and 60 units away from -2. So divide the range into total (50+60)=110 small parts. So that small part has distance of (9/110)=0.0818181.

Now multiply this number with 50 and substract it from 7 (50*0.0818181=4.09090909 & 7-4.09090909=2.909090)

You can also get point by Addition in -2 like (60*0.0818181=4.909090 & (-2+4.90909090)=2.909090)

So the point is 2.909090 and distances from 7 & -2 are 4.090909 & 4.909090 respectively
