Without Algebra, pretty much all technology more complex than a clovis spearhead would be impossible... you wouldn't even be able to prove that a Calendar had the correct number of days on it.
My God! They actually let these people vote!
Probably in College it is "Economics" because none of the theories they teach actually work in reality, which is why nobody except myself predicted the 2008 market crash, and the main two reasons I got it right is 1) Divine prophecy, and 2) I was working a tax office in 2006 and saw the crappy interest rates all the financial firms were giving on IRAs, and I knew something was about to crash.
Name one way I could use algebra in real life or in any career besides engineering or teaching algebra, I'll wait.
Algebra is a good one. When I was in school I thought Civics Class was dumb. Then when they took it out of school. I started seeing people not knowing how the government runs.
It don't seem important than, but now look. Humans don't even know how their government works now.
We had that crafting class once where they'd make us do stuff like candles and bookmarks etc. I HATED THAT.
Sewing class was also very very useless. Plus I still don't know how to sew lol
I'm glad they removed it from the program now lmao
As a subject PE. I already knew how to run and walk. Didn't need some asshole forcing me to do stuff I already knew.

Depends how you define a subject being "useless".
School has to prepare lots of children for a wide variety of different jobs.
(Advanved) math may be useless if you are doing this job, but may be important for another job.
But often it's "preparation" for everything except where they end up going in life
Otherwise (with hundreds of different high schools, each for a different specialication) you would need to know where you are going in life at a really young age, 10ish or something, no child would know this.
For algebra, I see no use for it aside from engineering or teaching algebra. Some argue that it teaches logic, but such classes exist and go much more in depth on that than algebra.
I did crafts and ceramics and those were both fun but very useless for real life. Everyone always says math and history but there a plenty of jobs where you might need to know those things so definitely useful for certain careers
I would say history because I feel like not a lot of jobs require you needing to know the past of the us and other countries.
High school: home economics or religion
University: gender or ethnic studies
We once called it the 'jabber-subjects' - you talk a lot, and later in life no one seems to remember the 'wisdoms':
social sciences, religion, politics, and such.
Not, that they ARE useless, but they are MADE useless.
History. From my perspective the only benefit to knowing it is that you could hold your own in an argument against another condescending history buff. Other than that I can't think of any value that knowledge would bring to my life.
I honestly hated Gym like why am I surrounded by guys that freaking smelled like socks before the class even started and why am I getting hit with a dodgeball. Every female would purposefully stand there to get hit and get out of playing the game.
Religious education, no idea why I should spend hours a week learning about fairytales. What a total waste of time and effort
I've been scrolling down seeing relationship questions... then I see this 😂
History as a whole was ok. Can see history repeating itself because so few paid attention... but “State” history in middle-school was useless.
I absolutely despised having to do anything art related, I don't get why it's required
Algebra and forced foreign languages (French or german)
Algebra was awful and I'd much rather learn a language I might use like Polish
Algebra is actually pretty useful my teacher had a poster up for what you're gonna use algebra for it's actually part of a metric fuck ton of jobs so its infact not useless
Id say geometry unless you are planing on getting a job that uses geometry
still alegebra unless you are planning a trade. a lot of trades you need maths degree.
You hit the nail right on the head with Algebra, AND with Political """"Science"""". The school system today is a sad pathetic joke.
Should have been a ranger sniper you could use algebra all day
History. U dont need to learn it at a point. They should teach you government and politics
probably gym. I don't remember them teaching us much.
There is no such thing as too much knowledge. People who don't know what to do with it, plenty of.
Calculus can go suck a dick.
Def all the math after algebra
History.
Personally, I think it is history.
