Why do people bore me?

I went out last night and I couldn't relate to anyone my age. I don't watch Love Island, or TV at all, as I'm either working or studying.

Most of the people in my town care about Instagram, having followers and only relate through slating others.

I only really get along with people who are 10+ years older than me, like my boss who j have known for 7 years. We talk about economics and interesting topics like that.

I want to travel and see the world, maybe go to North Korea, and work hard to have a good career which seems really hard to find nowadays. Why is this?

I don't watch tv, I don't really know why you picked the show "love island" specifically to say though.

I'm always either working or studying too, mainly because I just never feel like what I'm doing is ever enough.

I don't know about all that other stuff, but I know wanting to travel the own is a desire held by many, including people our age.

People don't really bore me, but I'm just usually interested in my own personal endeavors more than anything else, I've always been that way. I mind my business and tend to not care about anything else.

i would look at rejigging your social group to include people you like and get on with.

It's very hard to find people like me where I live. They all tend to follow eachother like sheep, then when someone does something different they think they're wrong or strange

I am all about people being individuals and doing what you want, life is very much for living and experiencing new shit.

I’ve travelled a lot on my own and love it, just going some place for the hell of it and doing what I fancy

And do you get hate for it?

I'm currently working full time while also doing a degree, so my spare time is limited. I often get hate for not wanting to go out drinking every single weekend.

I feel like I need friends who have more going on in their life than just going out to the same place every weekend.

What’s more the people on my team including girls are encouraged to think and do different stuff.

Doing things differently means I have people that think differently and that’s a bonus for me.

i work hard studying way too much but i always like to be with friends when i can or if one calls i'll make time cause life's to short. i listen to whats going on in there world try to understand try to be positive. then always ask them to join me running tomorrow

Not everyone your age is like that. None of my friends are into that crap either. I know people 10 years older than me who ARE super into social media and all that. Not everyone is the same.

Try finding new friends that have more interests in common with you. It doesn't matter if they're older. As long as you get along
