Why do people assume I’m boring?

No one is interested in talking to me or getting to know me. When I try to be friendly and introduce myself and make small talk people give me this bored dull gaze and can’t hold eye contact for a second because I’m so terribly boring to them. I would then see them talk enthusiastically with someone else even when the conversation is super boring and mundane. Many people look annoyed or unimpressed when they see me for the first time like I have „boring“ written on my forehead. I even see people moving away from me during work conversations.

Well, are you boring? What do you make small talk about? Have you tried paying attention to what they get enthusiastic about in conversation? It may seem boring to you, but sometimes people want to talk about the little stuff and wouldn't feel at ease diving deep. The weather, everyone's health, how people slept, etc. are all very boring, but typically good conversation starters. Walking up to someone and excitedly talking about the complex interactions of microbes probably isn't a great way to lead (how do I know this?) :D

And in reality, most people want to talk about themselves/their interests. If you can master the skill of getting them to talk about what they already want to talk about you'll have pretty smooth sailing conversationally.

The first step is the impression you make. This sounds basic, but do you smell bad? Most people are too polite to say so. Is your hair greasy? Are your clothes of decent quality and in good shape?

The second is how you present yourself. Grab a camera and record yourself talking to it. About anything. Sit on the recording for a day and then watch it. It will be painful, probably. Then do it until you start to like what you see. Try exaggerating your facial expressions. Pretend you are an actress.

And lastly, don't force it. Not everyone will like you or want to get to know you, and that's OK. People can sense lack of confidence, and one of things you'll need to work on having is a lot of confidence in is your own identity and worth.

Maybe it's not that you're boring. It could be that something else about you doesn't interest them. You don't have to be friends with whoever you work with. If you are in management or supervisor role, then this is a given: people don't like people who could boss them around telling them what to do or even hearing whatever crap they have going on, because they want to keep their jobs.

Is it mostly men who act like this around you? Or is it men and women?

If men act like that, it's either because (A) you're really hot and they don't care what you have to say because they're so eager to have sex with you; or (B) you're really NOT hot, and guys don't want to waste time talking with you when they could be talking to a hot girl instead.

I guess it could also be (C) you really are as boring as everyone seems to think you are. It might also be (D) you're interesting, but everyone around you is boring, and boring people like talking with each other, because being boring together is fun.

Here is a hypothetical scenario for you.

2 people can arrive at the same time to a party. They are both dressed well. They are equal in looks.. yet, one might be talking to people all night long, where as the other not a single person, and the ONLY difference is body language.
When you approach a conversation, how you stand, how you look at those you wish to converse with are all EXTREMELY important.
Try searching the net for 'body language techniques' as I believe that could well be your problem!

Because they are Scared of You, maybe you look like "high maintenance" , or give them the "look" , or just happens to "meet" All the Wrong People , sometimes when bad luck hits you... it tends to follow you every single step...

Impossible to even make an educated guess without knowing you or of you. People these days can decide they dislike someone for the most trivial and Benign reason so my advice would be to tell you that it’s only your opinion of you that truly matters and people can assume what they like. I used to care what people thought of me , so I think I understand a little of the person you are. Now I don’t give it a thought I just be the best version I can of me and if they don’t like it they can just fuck off !
