Thanks for the MHO ☺️
What's RBG? And I'm not an American, but I'd like to move to America or the UK after finishing my UG in law in India... do you think I can do my PG degree in law in the US and work in the US?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg. India? Bombay?
Oh, googled her. She seems powerful and great! Nope, I'm not from Bombay. I'm from one of the South Indian states. But if I do my undergraduate in law in India, then can I do my PG in the USA and practice there?(in the US) Is it possible? I do not know much about law, but the it does fascinate me. Its piqued my interest. I'd like to move somewhere else, preferably, the UK or the US. That is why I asked if I could practice there.
@tatianamay most do. south indian.. Im guessing UP.. In order to do law, you must go to law school her, or take a class equivalent to some law classes here. Thats how it normally is
Oh dang! Welp, my parents are overprotective, so they won't allow me to go to the US alone for UG. So guess I've gotta take medicine then lol. Thanks for opining on my question. really appreciate it :)
TY for MHO
My parents are surgeons, and my dad told me I could take up a summer job and maybe tag along with him to his hospital and see the hospital setting and what doctors do
Then I suggest you start there before making a permanent decision, because either way you look at it, med/law school is extremely expensive.
Thank you for MHO

Thanks! My first option is medicine lol
I'm on the fence with this one. I have always wanted to become a psychiatrist, but I have to keep studying for the rest of my life and I'm highly sensitive. Law has piqued my interest before, but I'm only considering it now
May I be honest?Only your highest preference is the good option.
Medicine? Most people tell me that medicine would suit me more, and I think it's alright.. its one of the safest options for me considering all my family members are surgeons
If I was to make that choice I would try to see with my own eyes what the job is about, instead of guessing what I would like the most. Eliminating layers of abstraction.
By the way, do you plan to practice law in your country or germany?
lmao, I'm interested in both medicine and law
medicine if you're game for 16 hour work days, law if your game for 12 hour work days with clients calling all hours of the night. GLHF! lol But a family court judge, that could be a great job.
Well, my first preference is medicine, and my second is law... I'm leaning more towards medicine. It sounds like a safer option in terms of job security and stuff lol
What kind of career you looking at?
Yeah, I'm good at memorizing stuff
Ok now do you know about specializations? There are many different fields in law and medicine. Patents, divorce, work law, cardiology, general doctor, surgeon, etc. Do you have any idea of what you prefer?
I like psychiatry and criminal law
Nice you do have a good idea on what you want! Many people say they want a job, but have no idea of how many branches it has. In both those jobs you will hear and see horrible things. But they are also both very rewarding. Sorry but I don't know you that well, we just interacted a few times, so it's hard to say.
Lol, yeah, I get what you mean. thank you!
No problem. Just one thing, once you begin to study something you will get a better understanding of what you will do than what you have now. So if after the first year you realize that you aren't where you should be don't be afraid to drop it and chose the other option. Pays off in the long run.
Thanks! And yes, absolutely! I will do that
