Law or medicine? Which one do you think would suit me more or which one is better?

I'm leaning towards medicine, although I think both are good professions to help others (I think you have a caring personality) medicine seems to be a little more straightforward and directly useful, where as lawyer you kinda needa be sneaky and look for loopholes in the law and be more persuasive than the other person. Just because you are doing the right thing doesn't mean you'll win the case, and in situations outside of the court the knowledge is not very useful. If you're a doctor and you get stranded or natural disaster happens at least you can still help.

At the same time everything in modern society is governed by law and we could definitely use more good lawyers to help represent the less privileged, but I think you need to have a different kinda personality to stick with that job

Oh, googled her. She seems powerful and great! Nope, I'm not from Bombay. I'm from one of the South Indian states. But if I do my undergraduate in law in India, then can I do my PG in the USA and practice there?(in the US) Is it possible? I do not know much about law, but the it does fascinate me. Its piqued my interest. I'd like to move somewhere else, preferably, the UK or the US. That is why I asked if I could practice there.

It is best to maybe get a few books on law and medicine, look at some pre-med and pre-law books to practice from and see where you go with it. Make sure to speak to people who are already in their fields. Maybe ask if they offer job shadowing or something. That should help you get a feel where you want to go.

Then I suggest you start there before making a permanent decision, because either way you look at it, med/law school is extremely expensive.

I think medicine is better. At least in my country. It seems like the law field is oversaturated and the people who go into it don't always make six figures. So I think you're better off with medicine. I remember you mentioned you want to be a psychiatrist when I read one of your opinions

Medicine is very demanding time-wise. Count on 80 hour weeks until you are around 30 when you finish your training. Even after then, count on long hours, depending on the type of practice you are in. It really isn't the happiest life, but very interesting if you are fascinated by things medical.

Don't know you to be able to say which would suit you. But as far a how good they are, bot are important, but medicine is more for saving lives and helping people. Law is for prosecuting and defending. Can be times you hate what you have to do. I would choose medicine.

I don't know you well enough to answer that so I am just gonna say medicine simply because we need more doctors and nurses. Lawyers are mostly just money grabbing greedy people. Honestly its just not something I could be proud to be in if i had to choose

I'm on the fence with this one. I have always wanted to become a psychiatrist, but I have to keep studying for the rest of my life and I'm highly sensitive. Law has piqued my interest before, but I'm only considering it now

If I was to make that choice I would try to see with my own eyes what the job is about, instead of guessing what I would like the most. Eliminating layers of abstraction.

Both are extremely difficult. You've got at least ten years of education for either.
For the med trade, it's a shoe in once you're done. Not so much for being a lawyer - lots of starving lawyers in this country.

Nice you do have a good idea on what you want! Many people say they want a job, but have no idea of how many branches it has.
In both those jobs you will hear and see horrible things. But they are also both very rewarding.

No problem. Just one thing, once you begin to study something you will get a better understanding of what you will do than what you have now. So if after the first year you realize that you aren't where you should be don't be afraid to drop it and chose the other option. Pays off in the long run.
