My job can easily be done from home. And I prefer it that way. But I do have to meet with people face to face on occasion, but it's once or twice a week, on average.
I like working from home and part of the reason why I love this gig is that I don't really need anybody else to do it. I like working on my own time, at my own pace, in bed if I want to (and I want it most days) and I have no immediate superiors other than my clients. I don't like having someone over my shoulder, telling me to work using their procedures... no, thank you.
Not to say that working with others is all that bad. I work in a creative field and bouncing ideas off of other people is helpful when I'm stuck. I've also had great experiences working with a lot of people I just prefer doing it alone - whether it's from home or my own office.
That's my main gig.
I do have another that requires me to be around others once a week. I rarely see my other colleagues, that it isn't so bad to catch up and chat for an hour or so.

As a person who works in healthcare I prefer to work around people and that's why I choose to work in healthcare. When the pandemic hit, had appts with people on Zoom and made it really hard to diagnosis and treat someone. it's so much easier in person than at home.
I much prefer to work around others as I'm quite a social animal. Also I don't concentrate well at home on my own. I've had to work from home on and off over the last 18 as have so many others and I just don't do well and get distracted. With others around in the office and the clinic I just seem to be able to focus much better as we can have chats while working and I feel more relaxed.
I would prefer to work from home, but I work as an aircraft mechanic for a domestic airline and I think the neighbors would not like a 737 blocking the street.
Or after doing a take off power run having to apologize to a neighbor for blowing their house down !!

I can probably get more done and I can keep my own hours, don't have to worry about blowing a weeks pay on a months worth of bus fares, eat and break anytime I want to and will even work a bit longer if I have the spare time with nothing else going on!
Working around people gives me my social needs. Working from home means I need to make an effort to socialise externally.
I work already 16 months from home, 4 days a week, and see some of my colleagues every two weeks. I miss my colleagues.
But there is one good thing here, restaurants and cafés are open from about half may.Home because commute here is hell.
Imagine waiting for a bus for an hour, then travel time is 2 hours. That's 3 hours ONE WAY.
I'm ok meeting face-to-face once a week though. For now, from home. I am a statistical consultant that prefers to work from home. I recently decided this though. Experienced envy and jealousy from colleagues and decided to cut it off.
I love Customer Service and Hospitality. I want to become a business manager.
I have ADD, ADHD if I work more than a month in a cubicle or my home I would go insane real fast... Been there done that and almost killed 2 people myself and someone else..
Around people is better. WFH make it feel so lonely
I am a teacher and taught online last year and I did not like it.
I can only maintain my fake work personality for long before I feel like I am literally dying a slow death.

Home. No people. Because both driving and people suck.
