Finished work for the day, decided to go on a 6 mile run in the desert
Asked if anyone wanted to join me and everyone was surprised/shocked to know I was going on a run, a 6 miler, in the hot dry weather after our work day.
Mind you, these are infantry soldiers.
Asked a prior service Marine, now, Army SGT if he wanted to join me and he was aghast at the fact I was going on a 6 mile run.

There’s just this deep satisfaction of outworking people, even those who are supposed to be, on average, a lot more fit than the general population.
Now, I NEED to outwork everyone in my company, no matter what. It’s this personal goal I have where I need to do more of something if I figure out someone has done something like a ruck march, run, etc.
