My own retirement was set at 55 (government job), but when I was offered the chance to retire at age 53 I jumped on it. Quite honestly, this was the single best decision I made in my life. The COVID nightmare (total bull shit) has eliminated years off of my ability to travel, which makes those early retirement years precious.
I don't care how young you are now, you will get old. It may be fun to call people my age "Boomers", but you'll be in the same situation, and without the wealth that my generation has socked away for itself.
Yes, we Boomers have got it sweet. As for those who follow us, I wish you good luck.

I won't because I love what I do... I know a few fellow jewellers who did retire but it's usually once they hit 70 or 80 and can do repair work anymore
My late antique dealer had her shop as a hobby (real estate was where the bulk of her £70million resided) and was working until she was 89, just a few weeks before the cancer took her
I'll retire as soon as my health stops me so probably my 40's
If i have my house built in my 30s then surely by 50. Im only working to build a house and support my future children. Not much else i need materialistic wise
Hopefully we'll both be semi retired at least by the time we're fifty. 🤞

Which time? The first time I retired was in 1990. I got so bored I went back to work on a limited schedule. Due to illness, I had to retire from that in 2005. Now I have turned my hobby into a part-time job, photography and graphic arts.
I want to run my lawn service 50 years and I will do online sales probably until death. I also want to open a Art/Jewelry shop. Retirement is over rated and boring. Just about everyone I know goes back to work. My dad volunteered at pantry house for awhile after he retired. My oldest brother is traveling now, but he will work at a gun shop I am betting because he likes gun retail sales.
I already but consider physical problems. I noticed what European do like Netherlands.. etc. Elders should get their own economic cycles. It is not bad to be pioneer if it is successful.
Probably gonna die punching the clock on one of my shifts with the way inflation is going.
Never! You don't retire because you get old, you get old because you retire.
Probably in my 70-80's
At this rate probably never.
When ever I die.
I'm already retired
