If it's based only on race then you'll be questioning if a person is even qualified, whether they are or not.
And there WILL be unqualified people in positions of authority and if we think school quality is bad now, having inept people making decisions and managing budgets and teaching our kids... it's just going to get worse.61 Reply

Totally normal, nothing is wrong guys, nothing to see here. They're not teaching wokeness and CRT and all that shit in schools, you're crazy. Now be quiet and go sit at the back of bus whitey, there's a black trans liberal arts student who needs that seat more than you.

No. But the typical public school is bad for society for a lot of reasons & they were originally created with the longterm goal of being able to brainwash kids to be whatever the people pulling the strings want. They have just slowly been increasing the control till now it's more obvious.

So this is happening currently where I am…kind of I guess. I was a new hire this year and so was the other school clinician and principal ….. we’re all the First black staff members In General at the school Ever and it’s been open for 50+ years. Let alone all of us being in higher positions than the teachers they don’t like it it’s awkward especially trying to change the culture of a school. I wasn’t aware of all of this before hire. I’m getting a lot of pushback from teachers but they do need to adjust to different implementations and interventions we put in place. No they shouldn’t be hired off race but when I sat in on an interview I asked equity questions its 2021.
01 Reply If there are two candidates with equivalent qualifications, no problem. Starting with a racial preference and minimal qualifications may result in reinforcing discrimination. If the teacher is not sufficiently proficient in the subject, the racists will use that to promote more racism.

I say yes. We need liberal White people to realize the system they are pushing for is literally one where they will be legally discriminated against and treated like second class citizens for being White. So yes I say the more liberals push for discriminating against White applications the better.
10 Reply 1.7K opinions shared on Education & Career topic. It is, of course, insane, not least because schools already have a difficult time attracting and , especially, keeping teachers in the first place. But it's consistent with the US Communists' agenda and racism.

is that the reality of the damage done to society recently with putting racial terror promoted on media? "to make people comfortable"? one race been so traumatized it cannot coexist with the other race?
probably yes because you don't want to be a non African American teach in a room full of traumatized kids in which teacher cannot maintain discipline because of decades of social and legal decay.00 Reply - +1 y
Why does it matter whether a teacher is white, black , green, pink or purple? Diversification means to accept people for who they are, not what race, political opinion, or color they are.
Good teachers get kids to learn, and that should be the sole determination of whether to hire or keep a teacher.00 Reply And what happens in places with no diversity? Schools must close? Oooook
32 ReplyYou need to remember that to Women meritocracy is oppression because they can't compete. Anytime a woman fails she blames patriarchy because she isn't expected to self reflect.

Why does one side say race doesn't exist but has fully conceptualized beliefs in race
22 Reply- +1 y
They don't claim race doesn't exist, they claim that race is entirely socially constructed.
Except for Ollie London. He can't be trans-Korean because race is biological.
But then, Winsome Sears can't be capital B Black because she's a Republican.
But Sean King can be capital B Black because he totally had a black father, and isn't attempting to dishonor his mother by claiming she's a cheating whore and a slave to BBC.
Y'know, now that I think about it, all of this race theory seems to be constructed out of nothing at all and only built to maintain the power of a certain narrative...

I love how they teach that diversity is important but assume that it is a burden for a child to sit still and learn a subject from someone who is a different color or ethnicity.
20 Reply - +1 y
No, because I can tell you right now, I know a lot of black, latin and middle eastern US teachers who act whiter than me.
10 Reply Diversity is good but teachers should be hired based on competency, not race
30 ReplyRace should never be a qualifier for employment. To do so, would be an exercise in 'racism'.
.. It's elementary, my dear Watson.20 Reply- +1 y

Race shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with employment.
If people are interested in race vs. talent, proficiency, ability, track record you know right away they are a misguided soul.00 Reply - +1 y

90 Replythis is why I'll never get a female or black doctor, you never can tell if they are actually competent or are lower quality doctors who got into and through school to meet quotas and affirmative action
10 Reply320 opinions shared on Education & Career topic. Now having said that if we have the choice between a teacher from another country versus the U. S. and the history of the foreign country is offered it's usually better to choose someone that grew up in that country.
19 Reply- +1 y
There is no Social Studies class that focuses only on one foreign country to begin with, and being from another country doesn't by itself mean that person can relate to the students, which is necessary. And it's not as if no one from the US has ever lived overseas or learned about other countries.
- +1 y
Was US history the history of a foreign country (because I specifically mentioned that)? And was it at the K-12 level? Was this in the US itself?
And the whole class devoted to "English history" (kind of odd that it wasn't at least the UK), was this at the K-12 level or the university level? I have a hard time believing there aren't any US citizens qualified to teach the history of the UK. - +1 y
@Avicenna Actually both histories were in that specific country, although one of my teachers got a PhD with a speciality in the UK from US colleges, so it's possible. Personally I look at dynasic China, prenorman England, Inca, Aztec, and early 20th Century Europe histories since I never bothered to get beyond a bachelor's degree

It should be the best person for the position who gets it... in the education sector, you don't really want to have a quota system when it comes to student's learning
